NinjaZone

Ninja Classes

NinjaZone at the James Family Prescott YMCA is a fusion of obstacle course training, gymnastics, martial arts, and freestyle movement, with the freedom for kids to progress and learn at their own pace.

NinjaZone is a progressive level system that evaluates and advances children in their skill and knowledge of core values as described in the NinjaZone creed. Children advance and learn at their own pace, and walk away more confident, more aware, stronger, and more coordinated.

Our instructor will teach and choreograph fun and safe classes that create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Opportunities for younger children (boys and girls), up to 5 years of age, exist through Baby Ninja & Lil’ Ninja classes.

Ninja

Open to boys and girls, 5 years of age and older.

Children learn a combination of flips, rolls, jumps, and kicks. Strength and agility are tested through obstacle courses and various training techniques.

NinjaZone levels are defined by the headband colors of White, Yellow, Green, Blue, and Purple.

Registration

  • $65 monthly

YMCA membership is required for NinjaZone participation. A $30 non-refundable registration fee is required annually, valid from February 1, 2025 through January 31, 2026. The fee is not prorated.

NinjaZone Uniforms

To promote discipline and unity, uniforms are required for all NinjaZone classes. Participants are required to wear their uniform (level-specific headband and shirt) to each class. This is not only to promote a team and peer bond but to encourage self-responsibility.

NinjaZone Creed

As a Ninja, I pledge to…

  • Respect myself, others, rules, and time.
  • Do what I know how to do when it’s time to do it.
  • Look for good things in every situation.
  • Use all my powers to see and feel myself and my environment.
  • Accept new challenges when I’m ready, even if they are hard.
  • Be kind to myself, others, and my environment.
  • Remember that there is nothing I can’t do if I keep trying.
  • Tell the truth even when I feel scared.
  • Look to learn from my mistakes.
