Fitness Center Orientation

Recommended for all new members!

Orientation:  You may sign up for the orientation at our Membership Desk.  Let one of our qualified Personal Trainers get you started on your new fitness program.  The orientation typically lasts one hour and depending on your goals, you will be shown how to use a treadmill, cross trainer, elliptical or bike for cardio respiratory exercise.  Then learn how to use the Cybex circuit located by the windows of the Fitness Center.

Fitness Center Facilities

The Prescott YMCA offers several fitness workout options for our Members and Guests.

Fitness Room: Treadmills, bikes, stair climbers, rowers, cross trainers, ellipticals, etc.  Strength machines for circuit training, functional training, free weights, medicine balls, stability balls, bands, etc.  We have a spacious stretch area, please bring your own mat. Floor Trainers are available to answer any questions you may have about the equipment or exercises.

Studio A:  Most of our classes are in this large room (located in the weight room).  We provide stability balls, steps, bands, yoga blocks and straps, hand weights and bar bells for our classes.

Studio B: We offer two styles of bikes:  Lemonds Rev master bikes, these are stationary bikes.  We also offer Real Ryder bikes that simulate an actual road or trail ride because these bikes actually shift side to side.  This style bike is excellent for core engagement.

Studio C:

Youth Fitness Orientations
We offer youth orientations for members 13 years and older.  If the child is age 13, they must either be accompanied by an adult (18 yrs +) or have been through our orientation before using the Fitness Center. Children 14+ may use the Fitness Center; however, we highly recommend attending an orientation first.  Participants will learn about safety, how exercise affects the body, how to set up their own personal fitness program and how to use the cardio & Cybex strength training equipment with proper technique.
