30th Annual Whiskey Row Marathon ~ May 3, 2008
This is one of the toughest Marathons in the United States. The
terrain is rugged, the altitude exceeds a mile above sea level and
the weather can be severe. The 2008 event marks the 30th anniversary
of the Whiskey Row Marathon. Come join runners from all over the
county in this prestigious event. In addition to the Marathon there
is also a 1/2 marathon, 10K, and 2 mile fun run.
On behalf of The Home Depot, Prescott YMCA and event sponsors, we
welcome you to Arizona's oldest and most scenic Marathon and
associated events. We hope you enjoy this historic event.
This is one of the toughest Marathons in the United States. The
terrain is rugged, the altitude exceeds a mile above sea level and
the weather can be severe. If you feel dizzy, have pain or
exhaustion, please ask for assistance. Emergency vehicles will be
roaming the course throughout the race. Turn arounds are clearly
marked. It is critical that all runners stay to the edge of the road
as the course is not closed to through traffic.
Sweep vehicle will cover the course at noon so that any participants
still on the course can be picked up. Support is not available after
course closing and due to the difficulty of this course, it is not
recommended for participants to remain on the course once it has
closed.
