Your
personal exercise coach will take you through a starter phase where
emphasis is on adjusting to the new demands of physical exertion,
establishing a consistent schedule and familiarizing yourself with
equipment and proper form. New First Step participants should sign up at the front desk or call 928.445.7221 x37 so sign up.

- Do you consider yourself a new exerciser?
- Do you have difficulty sticking to an exercise program?
- Would the help of a well-trained coach encourage you?
- Has your doctor told you that you need to start exercising?
If you've answered Yes to any of the above questions, then First Step is for you!
If
you know that you need to add exercise to your daily schedule, enroll
in the "First Step." Through this class, we will welcome you to a
life-changing journey to better health and physical fitness. Your
personal exercise coach will take you through a 12 week program where
emphasis is on adjusting to the exercise environment, establishing a
consistent schedule, and familiarizing yourself with equipment and
proper form. You may eventually exercise on your own time between your
four appointments with your coach. Unique to the Prescott YMCA, this
program encourages everyone, regardless of their age and ability level
to energize their lives and create a healthy lifestyle.
