Fitness Center Facilities
The Prescott YMCA offers several fitness workout options for our Members and Guests.

Cardio Room: Stationary bikes, treadmills, stair climbers, cross trainers, rowing machines etc.

Fitness Room: Stretching area with mats and exercise balls.
Fitness machines for circuit training, free weights, exercise balls,
bands etc. Floor Trainers are available to answer any questions you
may have about the equipment or exercises.
- Aerobics Room: Exercise balls, steps, bands, exercise mats, hand weights, bar bells for group fitness classes.

Group Cycling Room: Stationary bikes for group cycling classes

Wellness Center: Separate fitness and cardio area for seniors and adults who like a quieter workout

Self Defense Class |

Emphasizes “Protecting Yourself and Those Around you.” The class will include safety awareness, self-confidence and overall well-being. Ages 12 and up. Fridays, 6:00-7:00 pm. Taught by Sensei Steve Luce who has black belts in Jujitsu and Karate.

Postnatal Fitness Classes: Bring your children and a stroller and work out with other moms in the Y Gymnasium.
Prenatal Yoga Class: Yoga for a safe and enjoyable pregnancy.

Fitness Center Orientation |
|
|

Meet with one of our health and
fitness professionals in a small group where you will learn about the
YMCA, the Fitness Center and our other group and specialty classes. We
will review guidelines and offer information in the five components of
health-related fitness. We will help you outline your fitness goals by
matching your needs with the opportunities available at the YMCA. An
equipment orientation is included.

New Times for Zumba Classes |

ZUMBA combines high energy and motivating music with unique moves and
combinations that allow the ZUMBA participants to dance away their
worries. It is based on the principle that a workout should be "FUN AND
EASY TO DO" in order for ZUMA participants to stick to the ZUMBA
fitness program to achieve long-term health benefits. You don't have to
know how to dance to take this class. You just need to move. Zumba
Gold is designed for the beginner or Active Adult exerciser.

Club Fitness Plus |

This class taught in the Y's Fitness Center teaches middle school students how to exercise using the Fitness Center equipment. Class introduces the weight room, cardio room, circuit classes, group cycling, the climbing wall and more. We meet on Saturdays during the school year.

First Step Program |

Take the "First Step" into a life-changing journey to better health. Your
personal exercise coach will take you through a starter phase where
emphasis is on adjusting to the new demands of physical exertion,
establishing a consistent schedule and familiarizing yourself with

Teen Fit Challenge |

The teens who
participate in this program are encouraged to engage in at least 3 types of
physical activity each week. Activities can be done outside of the
YMCA - running, walking, playing basketball, baseball, dancing, riding a
bike, DDR play, hiking, etc are all examples of the types of activities that
can be logged on the activity sheets.
